Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry

Zimbabwe made a strong impression at the Cape Town Leisure Tourism Roadshow, a premier travel trade event hosted by Travel Marketing South Africa (TME-SA). With over 120 leisure tourism buyers from the Western Cape in attendance and 25 exhibitors showcasing diverse travel services, the platform proved ideal for Zimbabwe to engage directly with key players in the market. Notably, African Travel Concept, a major Cape Town-based DMC revealed ongoing weekly group tours featuring Zimbabwe as part of a tri-country package alongside South Africa and Botswana, covering destinations like Beitbridge, Gweru, Bulawayo, Hwange and Victoria Falls, running through December 2025. Buyers praised Zimbabwe’s presence and encouraged sustained engagement at such events to enhance destination visibility. This participation forms a vital part of Zimbabwe’s strategy to build strong travel trade partnerships and cement its position as a must-visit, multifaceted destination in Southern Africa.
